Hello Reader,

Thank you for subscribing and reading the Sunday Stitch; we appreciate your support!

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and I’ve given one of my original favorites a little love and a makeover! The classic Valentine Chair Backer sewing pattern that many of you have made over the years has been updated, and now includes a mini fabric envelope pattern that pairs perfectly with it!

Winter is the perfect season for quilters. With chilly days and longer nights, there’s no better time to cozy up with your sewing machine and create something warm and beautiful. If you’re looking for a fun winter project, I have more than 20 quilt patterns and small projects perfect for winter!

A Note from Melissa:

How's the weather where you are? It's cold, icy, and snowy in Kentucky! Our area received about 10" of snow and sleet in the last 24 hours, turning the entire city into a real live snow blob!

Since we aren't going anywhere (the HIGH temp will be 10 tomorrow), I've decided to start working on making string quilt blocks from my basket of red and pink fabric scraps. I'm sharing a bit of the process on Instagram if you'd like to follow along with my progress!

I hope you are safe and warm, and have something "quilty" to look forward to this week!
